Obtain Deployment ID and API Key for Authenticating your Heretto Content Source

To successfully complete authentication of your Heretto content source, it is essential to obtain a Deployment ID and API Key. This article explains how to obtain the required details.

Note:

Only users with admin privileges can perform the given steps.

1. Log into the Heretto instance using your admin credentials.

2. Select Deployments in the left sidebar menu.

   

3. You can see your deployment details here, including the ID. This is your Deployment ID that you can use to authenticate your Heretto content source in SearchUnify.

   

4. Now, switch to the Content API in the left sidebar menu.

   

5. Click on New API Key to create a new API key and select Simple API Key.

   

6. A new pop-up form appears on your window. Enter the required details:

   • Name: Give your API key a unique identifier.

   • Access Type: You have two options to determine file access within your Heretto instance:

     • Select All Content to grant access to all files in your Heretto instance.

     • Select Specific Map to restrict access to only selected files within your Heretto instance.

   

7. Click Save.

8. After the API Key is created, you can see its details on the Content API screen (as shown in the image below).

   

Use the API Key to authenticate your Heretto content source in SearchUnify.
