Install a Search Client in Zendesk Support

Find tickets faster in Zendesk Support. This article walks you through the process of installing a SearchUnify search client in a Zendesk Support instance.

Prerequisites

Installation

  1. Open Zendesk_support.zip.

  2. Open manifest.json.

  3. Replace ticket_sidebar with nav_bar.

  4. Save the file.

  5. Log into Zendesk and click

  6. Click Manage.

  7. Click Upload private app.

  8. Enter an App Name and upload Zendesk_support.zip using Choose File. Zendesk_support.zip was extracted when you had unzipped the search client in step one.

  9. Press Upload.

  10. A pop-up will appear. Confirm Upload.

  11. Click Install. (Setting up Role and Group restrictions is optional.)

  12. The installation was successful if you can spot the search client in Currently Installed.
