Recent Searches

This is a configuration in Search Clients > Edit > Configurations. To read about other configurations available under this tab, return to Basic Search Client Configurations.

Recent Searches

To show recent searches to search users, turn on the Recent Searches toggle.

When Recent Searches is enabled, the search bar remembers your previous queries to help you find information faster. As you type, the search suggests matching terms from user history.

Each past search is marked with a clock icon.

Note: These suggestions are stored locally in your browser's cache and are unique to your current device and search portal.

Key distinctions between the typehead in Autocomplete Results and Recent Searches:

  • Autocomplete: Provides article title suggestions.

  • Recent Searches: Provides search query suggestions.
