Create an API Token in Atlassian (Jira and Confluence)

The Password field demands an API token when on selecting the Basic authentication method during the set-up of Jira Software or Confluence as a content source.

Create API Token

1. Log into Jira Software or Confluence and click your profile image and select Profile from the menu.

   

2. Click Manage Your Account.

   

3. Navigate to Security and click Create and manage API tokens.

   

4. Click Create API token.

   

5. Enter a Label and click Create.

   

You can copy the token to clipboard and use it in the password field.
