Select any type of implicit deflection

The Select any type of implicit deflection setting in Search Clients > Edit > Analytics Settings > Analytics Properties allows you to pick a formula for calculating implicit deflection, where implicit deflection is used in the sense of stage one case deflection. You can pick one of the two formulas for calculating stage one case deflection:

• Stage 1 Deflection (Old Formula) occurs when a user searches at least once, clicks a result, and never visits the support page.

• True Deflection (New Formula) is calculated by a complex formula, which has been covered in the Stage 1 True Case Deflection Terminology section of True Stage 1 Case Deflection.

Select a Formula to Calculate Stage 1 Case Deflection

1. Navigate to Search Clients > Edit > Analytics Settings > Analytics Properties > Select any type of implicit deflection.

2. Check either Stage 1 Deflection (Old Formula) or True Deflection (New Formula). Activating True Deflection

3. Scroll down and click Save to apply changes.
