End User Personalization

SearchUnify empowers users with search client access to customize their search experience without requiring admin privileges. Currently, the following customization features are offered:

  • Hide Facet Categories. SearchUnify admins decide what content types (object properties) will be used as facets. However, as an end user you can hide the facets you do not frequently use.
  • Personalize How Results Are Displayed. This article explains how search users can get a more personalized search experience.
  • Rearrange Facet Categories. Facets are an advanced search feature. Because they act as filters, users can check one or more of them to confine the scope of their search and find more relevant documents. Among other properties, a facet can be a tag, created date, content source, or even case status.
  • Log into SearchUnify For the First Time. How a SearchUnify Super Admin or Admin can invite you to join the instance as either an Admin or a Moderator.
  • Recover Lost Password. If you cannot sign into your instance with your SearchUnify password, use the steps described in the article to reset it and regain access to your instance.
  • Save Search Results for Future Retrieval. The Save for Later feature enables users to save search result titles and URLs for future access. Users can save up to 50 results. This feature is available out-of-the-box on all search clients and requires no configuration from the SearchUnify admin.
  • Save Search Criteria and Queries in Bookmarks . The Bookmarks feature allows users to save complex search queries, making it easier to reuse them without retyping. This feature is particularly helpful when searches involve advanced search operators or search facets. By using bookmarks, users who frequently rely on advanced queries can save significant time and effort.
